Yours for Children

Internet Claiming

If you are interested in using the Internet claiming system, contact your Area Coordinator. She will assist you in obtaining your LOGIN NUMBER and PASSWORD. This login number and password will identify you when you enter the Minute Menu System and will allow you to go to the web site for updated information. DO NOT share your login number and password with others.

You may begin to use Internet claiming as soon as your Minute Menu System disc has been loaded into your computer. You will receive your disc from your Area Coordinator or from the YFCI state office. After you have loaded the program from your disc, go to the Minute Menu web site and check for the most recent updates.

Your Area Coordinator will pick up the installation disc at your next Home Visit. Once the initial installation has occurred, you will not need the disc in your CD-ROM drive to operate the program. All updates and information can be downloaded by you from the Minute Menu web site.

Using the Minute Menu System

  • Remember: You must have Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher to use this software.
  • Always use lower case letters when typing your password.
  • Record menus and attendance daily, to point of service. Note: If unable to access your computer during meal times, print out daily worksheets to record your menus and attendance. (See Other Forms--Print Daily Worksheet in the Minute Menu System.)
  • Each child is enrolled and eligible to be claimed for reimbursement based on the date of the signed New Child Enrollment Form. Send the New Child Enrollment Forms signed by the parent or guardian with your monthly reimbursement claim. Remember, your own income eligible/foster children need to be enrolled, too. (See New Child Enrollment.)
  • You must back up your records regularly. (See Switchboard--Backup.)
  • Periodically check www.minutemenu.com for updates. If an update is announced, follow the directions on the web site and only download the update.
  • If you are having technical problems, go to www.minutemenu.com and click on Troubleshooting.

Home Visits

Providers using the Minute Menu System must be current to the point of service. If you cannot enter the meal and attendance directly into your computer during mealtime, the program offers a daily worksheet. (See Other Forms--Print Daily Worksheet.) This daily worksheet may be used to enter your meal and attendance data at a later time. At your Home Visit, your Area Coordinator will review the daily worksheet, if applicable, and the following printouts:

  • Current Claim Attendance--Month Detail
  • Attendance Report for Claim Month--By Day
  • Current Month Menu Report--Food Only
  • Additional reports as requested.

PLEASE PRINT THESE FORMS AND HAVE THEM READY FOR YOUR AREA COORDINATOR!

Back Up Your Records

Providers are solely responsible for backing up their menus and other records. Yours for Children, Inc. and Minute Menu System are not responsible for lost or damaged information, claims, or data. To back up your records, go to the Minute Menu web site and follow the directions in the Switchboard--Backup section.

Technical Problems

If you are having technical problems, Minute Menu System offers Troubleshooting advice on their web site. You may also E-mail questions to them at webhx-support@minutemenu.com.
